How to gameshare on a PS5?It’s not easy to believe that we live in a world without physical discs. Still, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S marks the first time we’ve been able to purchase a powerful console at launch without any physical media at all!
This is cause for celebration for many gamers, but this new generation of consoles has raised concerns for gamers who like sharing their games with friends. Fortunately, both the PS5 and Xbox Series S come equipped with this feature, but every new console has a new interface and system.
How to set up gameshare on the PS5
Enabling a PS5 to share games with family and friends is easier than ever as Sony has updated the feature since it appeared on previous PlayStation consoles. It’s now called “Console Sharing and Offline Play” on PlayStation 5. Below is a quick guide to set it up.
Step 1: First of all, sign in to your PSN account on your PS5.
Step 2: From the main menu, click the Gear icon near your avatar to see a new Settings tab.
Step 3: Now tap ‘Manage Users’ and choose between the different options under ‘Add user.’
Step 4: Scroll down and select Other. There, you will have access to your other documents that belong to this specific group.
Step 5: Select Allowing Over the Internet and Local Network Play. If the text says this option is disabled on your PS5, you can enable it.
Step 6: Log out of your PSN account.
Step 7: Log into your account on the PlayStation Network on the console you want to game share with.
Step 8: Navigate to this menu and make sure Extend Gameplay is set to Allow.
On the PS5 console, you will probably have a game-sharing option available. This is where you can combine your game library with a friend. Thanks to this feature, multiple gamers will play the same game at once.
You might think that it’s not a big deal, but trust us when we say that it most definitely is! Be sure to use this option sparingly because it appears that it can only be used once!
If you’ve been following the latest news in the video game industry, you already know that PS4 is equipped with the new feature game share, which will enable users to share their collection of saved games with other users.
It’ll also allow players to browse through another player’s library and access any titles they have with permission. This is great for people who don’t like to go through discs and cases since they can freely access a large variety of titles online!
